I am an instructor of Philosophy; I am also a lover of Christian Theology and—first and foremost—of God. In the short time that I have been teaching Philosophy, I have learned that it is not uncommon for people (Christians, mostly) to see the two disciplines as incompatible, opponents, even.
I happen to believe that Philosophy and Theology work hand-in-hand quite well.My hope
with this blog page is to explore some of the concepts of Philosophy from a theological
perspective, looking at them through a lens of Christian faith. I plan to bring concepts from the courses I teach and look at them from an angle that is not really afforded in my classroom.
Keep in mind that I teach introductory level courses; I will not take deep dives into Philosophy. I will look at basic concepts and bring theological ideas alongside them and allow the two to interact.
